The denim fabric on the lounge sofas, bean bags, table linens and some cushionsuses 17% recycled cotton yarn making it extremely soft and comfortable.
The fabric off-cuttings, left over from making a garment, are not just thrown away. Instead they are shredded and re-spun into new yarn, which is mixed with regular cotton to make it stronger.
The fabric off-cuts are collected only from garment manufacturers producing for the US and European markets to ensure the recycled cotton is up to the required standard.
This fabric is certified by Control Union certification's Global Recycle Standard (GRS).
Polar Fleece Cushions are made from 100% PCR – Post Consumer Recycled Polyester, created from recycled soft drink and water bottles. This helps keep plastic bottles out of landfills and reduces CO2 emissions compared to raw polyester production.
